Human aging
Prof. Dr. Frank Madeo conducts research in the field of cell biology. His work focuses on cell aging, cell renewal and cell death in order to better understand the how and why of human aging and to find ways and strategies to stay healthy as long as possible.

Immune system
Katja Simon, Ph.D. conducts research at Oxford University in the area of autophagy in the immune system. With her team, she wants to find out how long-lived immune cells use the process of self-digestion to keep renewing themselves.

Cognitive functions
Prof. Dr. Stephan Sigrist, together with Prof. Dr. Frank Madeo, studied memory loss in flies to gain insights into age-related memory decline in the human brain. They investigated what influence the purification of clumped proteins in the brain has on the memory performance of flies.
The Longevity Labs+ success story
Although our company, Longevity Labs+was founded in 2016, our story begins in 2010 when Prof. Dr. Frank Madeo, also considered as the "discoverer" of spermidine, was leading research activities on the polyamine spermidine at the University of Graz.
In 2016, our managing directors became aware of the research of Frank Madeo and instinctively recognized the importance of this research. They started to work together with the researchers of the University of Graz on a special extraction process and thus founded the spin off Longevity Labs+.
We have quickly gained attention as a company outside of the University of Graz, and we have welcomed Dr. Hannes Androsch as an investor in our company since 2018.
After extensive testing and studies, the first product, spermidineLIFE® Original 365+ was launched in 2019 and was directly among the sales winners in Austrian pharmacies.
In spring 2020, we founded our U.S. subsidiary, Longevity Labs Inc., to mark a significant success. Amid the challenges of that year, we launched spermidineLIFE® Immunity+ in fall 2020 which specifically supports our immune cells.²
Just six months later, in the spring of 2021, we launched the next innovation: spermidineLIFE® Memory+ for our brain cells.³
In 2022 we wanted more! We increased the dosage of our market-leading product spermidineLIFE® Original 365+ from 1 mg to 2 mg spermidine in order to supply our customers' cells even better.¹ We also launched spermidineLIFE® Boost+, which contains the highest spermidine dosage for long-term use.
In 2023, it was time to increase the dosage of spermidineLIFE® Memory+ and spermidineLIFE® Immunity+ to 2 mg spermidine per daily dose. In the fall we also launched a new, innovative product: nadLIFE® Energy+ with the unique combination of niacin, spermidine and zinc. This not only renews our customers' cells every day¹, but also gives them the energy they need.⁶
Our life expectancy has steadily increased in recent decades due to advances in medicine and society. Cell research, in particular the study of spermidine, has become a major focus and is significantly advanced at the University of Graz.
