Our Advisory Board member: Elizabeth Yurth, an expert in the field of longevity
Today, we would like to introduce you to another member of our Scientific Advisory Board: Dr. Elizabeth Yurth. With her profound knowledge of the subject of longevity, she is at the center of scientific innovation.
Elizabeth Yurth has dedicated her life to longevity. She is double board-certified in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Anti-Aging/Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Yurth also completed a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine from Stanford School of Medicine.
In addition, Dr. Yurth has a dual-Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (FAARM), and Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine (FAARFM) through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and more recently completed a Fellowship in Human Potential and Epigenetic Medicine.
An active athlete herself, Dr. Yurth has consulted with numerous professional and collegiate sports teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, Stanford University, and the San Jose/Cleveland Ballet. Dr. Yurth resides in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and five children.
But that alone does not make Dr. Yurth a luminary in the field of longevity. Like us at Longevity Labs+, she is a trailblazer. She was one of the first-ever to receive the A4M “National Peptide Certification” and is now a faculty member and national lecturer for both the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and Seeds Scientific Research and Performance Institute (SSRP). She is also one of a select group of 25 hand-selected “Mastermind” members of the SSRP Institute, comprised of a small elite group of national peptide experts working in the emerging field of cellular medicine.
Dr. Yurth stays at the forefront of emerging medicine, with well over 500 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) training in the areas of Longevity, Epigenetics, Nutrition, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Regenerative Peptide Treatments, and Regenerative Orthopedic Procedures. In addition to these qualifications, Dr. Yurth also has over 25 years of professional experience as a practicing orthopedic physician specializing in sports, spine, and regenerative medicine.
Her accumulated knowledge and interest in sharing the most cutting-edge topics in Anti-Aging, Longevity and Regenerative Medicine led Dr. Yurth to found the Boulder Longevity Institute (BLI) in 2006. Since that time, she has been using the core of her expertise to provide innovative treatment options based on the most advanced, researched longevity medicine available.
At Boulder Longevity Institute, Dr. Yurth and her team of practitioners take their time to teach people how to heal, regenerate, and optimize. Education is a big component of BLI’s mission to give people back control of their health, and by creating an online education site called the “Human Optimization Academy,” BLI gives its members access to the latest research in the field of longevity, regenerative, and cellular medicine.
Dr. Yurth‘s expertise expands far beyond scientific boundaries. Dave Asprey, founder and CEO of “Bulletproof Radio” and a 3-time New York Times bestselling author, asked her to appear on camera for his podcast. In this special episode, she talks about longevity, the aging process of cells, and spermidine.
“Where we see spermidine work is at a very, very base level to correct the autophagy to get rid of those bad mitochondria so that now we’re not being overwhelmed by reactive oxygen species,” Dr. Yurth says. “We actually will start to recycle the bad parts of the cell and start with a new cell at that point.” Dr. Yurth also likes to use spermidine as a supplement with her patients, allowing her to further observe and confirm the positive effects of spermidine through feedback given by the people she treats. She is very clear when it comes to expressing her belief in spermidine, emphasizing that if she had to limit herself to one supplement for the rest of her life, it would be spermidine.

We are delighted to have Dr. Elizabeth Yurth and her vast expertise join our Scientific Advisory Board and look forward to incorporating the diverse findings of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), the Seeds Scientific Research and Performance (SSRP) Institute, and the Boulder Longevity Institute (BLI) into the future of Longevity Labs+.
