Chanterelle as a healthy barbecue garnish

Chanterelle as a healthy barbecue garnish

Nutrition, TLL LongevityLabs

At this time of year, the heat hits us not only from the asphalt, but also from the grill. All over the country, barbecue masters are firing up their appliances. To ensure that summer barbecue fun remains part of a balanced and healthy diet, today we recommend a light, seasonal alternative as a side dish.

Our current side dish of choice is chanterelles. Not only because they are in season, but especially because they contain spermidine. This we can give our body not only with spermidineLIFE® from wheat germ extract with high spermidine content, but also in the form of natural foods.

Chanterelle bean salad

Shopping list (for 4-6 persons)

  • 2 cans of white beans (drained weight 500 g)
  • 500 g chanterelle
  • 1 medium onion
  • oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, parsley

Preparation

Clean the chanterelles. Finely chop onion and sauté until translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook until the water they give off has boiled away (about 15 minutes). Dress the beans with vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Mix with the steamed mushrooms and the finely chopped parsley. Meal time!

Other spermidine-rich side dishes for grilling are potatoes and green salad. This gives the grilling experience an additional healthy touch.
